I own 2 handguns and a shot gun

9mm Beretta
.40 Kimber
12 gage shotgun.

Hey the constitution gives us the right to bare arms, so why not enjoy that right.

I want a new handgun, I absolutely LOVE the way Kimbers look, very sleek and sexy, but I hear that the insides are as quality made as others like Colts and sig sauers, I like the way colts look alright if its mixed with a 1911, but still.

Obviously I won't find a Kimber for that, or even a Glock, but I'd like something in 9mm or .40 SW. No gun snobs allowed...

I've been looking for a 1911 model Kimber Eclipse, until I found that Norinco made their own set of 1911A1's for a price of $350 bucks than a $1250 Kimber model. I was wondering for you Norinco 1911 owners out there if this handgun is worth the price quality-wise. Also, is there a beaver tail safety as well as interchangeable hand grips? And lastly, do they have 5" barrels?
I'm very aware of my barrage of unrelenting questions, but do they also sell parkerized or stainless steel models?
Are they banned from the U.S. trade ban from China?

I'm a Californian who takes advantages from other the firearm policies of other states like Nevada. In California, the first gun I've fired was a Kimber Eclipse 1911 at a shooting range, and instantly fell in love with it. I'm wondering if they are available for purchase, and if so, how much are they?

I live in Washington an boat often. sometimes we travel across the border into Canada.

What are the laws and can I ...

1. Take a Kimber 8 round 1911 (7.7 inch barrel) into Canada on the boat.
2. It would stay on the boat.

I know that Glock and Kimber has guns in 10mm, but will any other handguns like Springfield Armory, HK, or SIG ever make a pistol chambered for 10mm?
I hope the 10mm will never die out.

I like kimber's 1911's is stainless longer-lasting???

I'm thinking a Kimber Crimson Carry, for daily carrying any suggestions?

Which one would you get-why. Or what do you have. I am looking also at Browning. I have the Benelli SBE 2 which I love, and a Kimber .45 ACP 1911 which is a incredible handgun for the money. I like to stay with quality names, especially when I have no complaints about either. All suggestions welcome. I am only considering the 300 win.

I am an avid shooter, I go about 2-3x a week and shoot between 300-1000 shots a week. I was wondering if after BTE, AIT, and Specialty school if you are allowed to wear your own sidearm (as long as it matches military caliber). Also what kind of handguns do soldiers carry? I would like to bring my Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm or .40, or my Kimber .45, is this a possibility?
300-1000 rounds, not shots, on a spectrum of firearms.
cowboys? how would wanting a sidearm I am more comftorable and qualified with make me a cowboy? quite the opposite, but I appreciate the superflous comment, dick.
what is the standard issued firearm, brand, caliber, and capacity?
I hate how the beretta m9 is 1. very wide and 2. has a long trigger pull for the 1st shot, then becomes a single action after that. thank you for the answers though.

Alright gentleman, I'm in the market for my second handgun and I definitely have decided on 1911 model .45 (of course). Money is no object so don't let that influence your answer. I'm looking for detail, those who have owned one or the other possibly both for an extended amount of time, like years. Both brands have good reputations... But which one is BEST!?!?!?!?! I've fired both and they seem like they both feel pretty much the same and the "PUSH" (not kick, like my Beretta 92FS) also feels just about the same. I like the look of the Springfield a little better, but big question is... Which one will hold test of time after countless number of rounds fired?? Which will require more maintenance?? And DON'T bother trying to turn me to GLOCK.. Even though they're deadly accurate and reliable, and can't destroy em, blah blah. They're F*%@in ugly and my guns have to be DEADLY and SEXY. Anyway, any help would be great. THANKS!
Great feedback guys!! Only a couple days left till I decide!! Would greatly appreciate MORE answers!!

Thinking of buying a 90-Two Type F 40 S&W. It fits comfortably in my grip. Any comments on Beretta's would be useful.

Also, if your a handgun guru. Any thoughts on Kimber Tactical Custom II.

I'm looking to buy a 9mm for a home defense gun and possibly to CC. I have 2 shotguns and a rifle but am a novice when it comes to handguns. I am planning on taking a gun safety course. I'd like to know if anyone makes a 9mm semi-automatic with a manual safety and with a grip safety. I want both safety features on the gun. Any input is greatly appreciated. I've looked at Beretta, Ruger, Taurus, Browning, S&W, Walther, Glock, Springfield, Star, Bersa, Kimber, Sig, Hi-Point, and HK.

I have an old ACP 1911, but am somewhat ignorant of guns. I want a big caliber automatic. I see brands like Kimber, H&K, Sig Sauer, Glock, Kahr, etc. I also see 45s, 40s, 10mm, 9mm, etc. I have decision paralysis! Any suggestions would help.
I just want one for "personal protection". I"m not really a target shooter or hunter.

Where can i get the 1911 .45 Caliber Handguns that The Punisher has in the movie with Thomas Jane can anyone tell me?

I want everything on it already i don't want to but the Guns & accessories separate.

I know there Colt 1911's but i can tell that's going to be alot of money so is there another pistol i could use that as close to the same style like - Llama,Charles Daly,Kimber or Springfield Armory.

I have just got my concealed weapons permit and am now in the market for a small hand gun bigger then a 9 mm. The first gun I picked up I loved until I saw the price. A Kimber. What would be a nice handgun that I might be able to discreetly wear on my ankle or waist? I am 5’3 and 135 lbs. Please no revolvers. I have a Uberti Navy Colt .45 which I love but it is too big and all the smaller revolvers don’t feel good in my hands. I have fairly small hands. Mini Glocks are almost too small.

I’ve had all the training with guns and know how to take apart and reassemble them and have god aim and safety knowledge.

I want to buy a pistol, i just don't know what to chose.
I got so many options like, Para Ord, AMT, Sig, Glock, Kimber etc.....
Are there any legal issues concerned ?

I am planning on getting my CCW soon, but I am completely clueless as to what type of firearm I should get. I have been told that it is best for me to try different firearms to see which feels best, but I don't really have the resources to do so. Right now I am looking at glocks, but I am open to anything, Beretta, sigarms,Kimber, etc. If anyone could give me some information on what they carry and like, or any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

She is grey like a weimeraner. She is a mix breed and I'm not sure how big she will be or anything. She has blue eyes and a small white blaze down the front of her nose. She also has white socks. My other two dogs names are Zurg and Ruger, both boys. It's been a long time since I have had a girl and I just can't seem to pick the perfect name for her. The ones I have so far are Cheyenne ( Shy for short), Kalani (meaning sky blue), Logun (pistol- since my other dog is named after a handgun), and Kimber ( also a hand gun). What do you think? I love Native American stuff because my Grandparents were Cherokee so Native names would be cool too. Nothing like Annie, Sadie, or Precious type names because it just wouldn't fit my other dogs names. Thanks to everyone and have a good evening.
My husband thinks that Logun sounds like a boy name and he hates the name Kimber. So far he likes Kalani.

Who makes a great 1911 handgun? STI, Kimber, Springfield Armory, Smith & Wesson, or Colt? Money is not an issue, but reliabilty is.

Somewhat new to handguns, I am a lefty looking for a semi-automatic. Can anyone suggest a pistol in 9mm(or comparable) with a slide release/mag release on the right side? It is for target/fun shooting 1st and self-defense 2nd. Of the few guns I have shot, I loved the Sig and liked the XD. Did not like the Kimber(kept jamming at the range).

I am thinking about getting one for my collection. Whats a better gun Kimber, Springfield Armory,or S&W..

im looking at a Kimber Custom ll, a Smith&Wesson M&P, and a GLOCK model 21 and they are all 45 caliber. And i was justing wondering which is the best gun??

Which one is the best overall?
which one is best for training?
Really helpful if you put them in order or best to worst.
thanks for your help

I was at Wal-Mart and I saw this Sgt and he had a M1911 (looked like a Kimber) and I was wondering if he could do that because I thought that deputys can only use standard issued Glocks.
The Sheriff in my town is the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office

Here are the criteria that will mold my decision:

1- Home / self def. (no ccw at this time)
2- A safe action, easy to use and maintain
3- $500 - 750 range
4- Proven brand that will resale well if needed. Also, a good accessory line, and rail.
5- Fun to shoot, accurate enough for amatuer / local club matches if it becomes a hobby.

Handguns I'm considering are:
.45 ACP - FNP45, Glock 21SF, HK USP45, (im not ready for a 1911)
.40 - Kimber Pro Defense
9mm - Walther PPS, Beretta PX4, Ruger SR9
.22 - Sig Mosquito, Walther SP22
Other - Sig 250 - Modular barrels, etc.

My main question is should I go for the 45? It's the obvious champ at home defense, or should I go the route of starting with a .22 and working up thru the calibers as I gain experience? The range nearest my house is .22 only, so that may influence my decision, but I'd really like the .45 but I'd have to travel a couple hours to practice..

Please help, I've heard and read so many differing opinions
Thanks, but at this point I'd like to stay with a semiauto pistol. Just a personal preference. Do you have any advice on those?

any thoughts any one auto or revolver glock h&k s&W imi baretta taurus 1911 kimber colt para help which one
for self defence and plinking have shot .50s none to powerful.
p.s price is no problem have extra 3k
akluis I have taken classes I was just wanted peoples thoughts, bin fireing guns since 5 years old.p.s.f*** you.

I am interested in purchasing a (10mm) Kimber Stainless Target ll. I was wondering if this is a good gun for conceal/carry, or would a Glock 20 or Glock 29 be better? Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

-I understand the fact that 10mm ammo is expensive and hard to find, and I also understand that recoil is much worse than other cartridges.

I just heard about a local gun auction tomorrow and I can't find my Blue Book. I was wondering if anyone could help me out on the estimated current values on three handguns. 1 & 2 appear to be 90% + from the sale bill photos, 3 is probably 70%.

1. Kimber Gold Match .45 ACP (blued)
2. Ruger P90 .45
3. S&W Model 629 .44 (stainless)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am buying my first gun in 2 months when i turn 21. What are the best guns for a first timer... I'm looking at Glock 19C and 26, HK45, Taurus, Kimber, and Beretta along with a few others.

I currently use the sig p229 and find it a tad to big for off duty carrying... Just want something smaller for a reasonable price. Was really liking the Kimber 1911 models. Help please trying to purchase immediately

Really looking to buy a new .45 acp semi-auto handgun. I was really interested in the Springfield xd. I was trying to stay away from the glock, but then again they do sell a lot of accessories for that gun. Also if you have any other ideas that would make wonderful choices i would appreciate it.
thank you for your help.

between glock, berreta, springfield, sig saur, and kimber.

I'm hoping to buy a 1911 soon, probaly a kimber. this will be my first handgun and my instructor for shotguns, who also teaches pistols, said i should start with a .22 to learn the fundamentals (form, grip, etc). Im hoping to buy the .45 pistol, and a conversion to the .22. Any suggestions on what brand of conversion kit and if so how much is it? It is going to be a full frame pistol, thanks
BTW please post in the "firearms" section lol hahaha we gotta get that section up!!

Think of all the major designs. The 1911 has lasted the longest, in the greatest numbers, and is used by all of the most elite American military units and competitive shooters.

Is it really the greatest handgun design of all time?

I know someone is going to argue for Glock...but really. Try putting 3 shots on paper fast with a Glock 21, then try it with a good Kimber or any 1911 of your choice. That's really what it's all about, isn't it?

Springfield XD-9 or Taurus PT99

Yesterday I fired off handguns for the first time. First was a Glock 19, at 10 yards all 10 rounds went in the first 2 rings of the silhouette. The next 10 I was aiming for the head, none of them hit. All the shots grouped on the right shoulder for some reason, perhaps bad trigger control? Next I fired off my friend's Kimber Tactical Pro at 15 yards, all 9 were headshots. I was very proud of myself because this was my first time touching a real handgun. I felt 10x more accurate with the Kimber, possibly from its excellent trigger pull and light weight.

I want to buy an inexpensive ($500-600) 9mm pistol with a 5in barrel. I plan to do a lot of target shooting and that IDPA stuff looks very appealing to me. I don't care about how many safeties or indicators a gun has and don't plan on using it for home defense.

The XD-9 and PT99 seem to be my best options, which should I choose and why, or is there something better that I missed?

i am looking to buy a 1911 i want it to look good mabye stainless or blued steel and i want it to be an ehirloom i'm torn between brands i am a begener collector and do not really know what is good
what do you think of khar, kimber, glock, ruger, sig, smith and wesson, springfield arms
also are dan wesson guns and smithand wesson guns the same?

. it is marketed by caa arms, from florida, made in italty, it feels good in my hand, but for around 400.00 is the quality there, i know it will shoot and do all the stuff a pistol does, am looking for honest answers, a kimber, s-w and springfield it is not.
